I'd guess it's along the lines of the one with the most support becomes The endeavour and the rest just add their scores to that one?

On that basis hitting the difficulty looks very achievable. What sort of things contribute to cost? Particularly are there things that contribute to cost much more than they do difficulty?

Incidentally, have set up Operation Dinosaurs Chew up and Shit out the archenemy on the endeavour list. It seems to be not wanting to save properly any time I've tried to edit it though.

Basically. Slight change of plan to the text above.

The favour goes to the person or group (indicate in your downtimes if you're going to fight over it, please, or if you _care_) who puts in the highest combination of cost/difficulty.

Please note that extra cost/difficulty over the 1000/1000 doesn't do anything except contribute to who might get the favour.

FYI, because I know some people are busy with this - I've hit a brain freeze wall and will be off-line until Monday for No Rest related material, and my fellow refs are making props etc so are busy.

From what I've seen, cost can only be paid in MP by assets, mainly troops and ships. After that you're down to paying in cash and the likes, but at a poor exchange rate.

I think you're right, the difficulty is going to be easy to hit. Cost is going to be the hard part, especially given the restrictions on using ships for it...

Is having an OOC thread discussing what numbers and proportion of the cost each group is going to submit in order to make sure the endeavour succeeds allowed? Or is that too much into working the numbers territory?

I'm fine with that, but the caveat I will apply is to try not to mess about each other too much OCly - not saying anyone will, but please don't, leave that for the IC thread to avoid messes :-)

In that case, shall one of us just start a thread for that in the OOC section? As has been noted, we have plenty of interest, but can we meet the cost without glassing the planet?

Just to double check something from Robs first post. Using void assets for over 50% of the cost will glass the planet, but using them to meet 50%+ of the difficulty is OK?

Hrm. Missed the bit about glazing the planet when I read this.

That may be a problem...
