DESCRIPTION:Arkangel’s auxiliary reactors are running out of metal actinide fuels. The Reclaimers can keep them running for now but without a stable supply they will eventually shut down and that will render numerous non-essential systems unoperational. The Celestus could ship in the required materials but doing so would seriously limit what other supplies it could deliver. Deep void scans suggest that the planet KL47-9G has the required materials and so an expedition to establish a secure supply has been set up for the good of all the Dynasties exploring the Stygian Abyss. If that wasn’t enough of a reason for the Dynasties to agree the fact that the planet sits at a stable point in the warp from which further exploration could take place and appears to have ancient xenos ruins that promise great wealth should seal the deal.\nGoals. Secure a Stable supply of Metal Actinide Fuel in order to complete “T006-101 – Fuel supply” \nFailure to complete this task will result in all dynasties receiving half as many Consumables in their shipments until a supply is found. This does not affect individual consumable supplies. \nThis event is a political and exploration game with themes of oppression\, corruption\, hypocrisy and intolerance. It is inspired by such sources as 1984\, The man in the high castle\, shadowrun\, deus ex\, SLA and minority report.

Upon Kadingir the Deed was done\, \nAnd with Onyx strength were the rivers yoked\, \nTo build up a Ziggurat to the Sun; \nA wealth-clad monument rivalled by none\, \nLeagues of Black-Stone glass in radiance cloaked. \nBut no human hands toiled for Kadingir\, \nAnd within it lurks a forgotten fear. \nFor through the perfumed gardens\, sweet and vast\, \nAnd beyond the shining halls of treasures\, \nThere wait in the grave the sins of the Past; \nAgonies enough to end all pleasures. \n‘Yet\, even warned\, you still draw near\, \nBeware the lie of Kadingir.’ \n  \nIt is called Kadingir\, ‘the World of Perfumed Flowers’\, but such a benign name is a poor descriptor for this deathtrap of a planet. \nKadingir is the treasure planet to end all treasure planets. And Kadingir guards its treasure with a malicious and alien ingenuity. \nIt is a world that has lured in generation after generation of explorers\, archeologists\, and treasure hunters\, and for centuries Kadingir has been injuring\, maiming\, and killing those intrepid adventurers in their hundreds and their thousands. For every prize won from Kadingir\, a price must be paid in blood and sweat\, fear and grief. \nPerhaps the promise of such wealth and adventure\, such exploration and peril\, would alone be enough to lure in the courageous Dynasties of Arkangel\, but darker machinations also attract the attention of the Worthies of Arkangel. \nPsykers across the Stygian Abyss have begun experiencing terrible dreams and waking nightmares\, portents of great doom and dire prophecy. These visions take the form of culturally appropriate symbols of dread\, but often contain some of the following\, alien symbols: perfumed\, white flowers; dancing\, faceless figures in black robes; and a star overhead\, burning too hot. \nNavigators have begun experiencing unusually calm and shallow warp tides\, resulting in a greater number of simpler\, more pleasant journeys through the Immaterium. This phenomenon can only be described as an ‘Immaterial Drawback’; and is similar to the terrestrial process by which ocean levels drop and pull away from a coastline immediately before it is struck by a Tsunami. This ‘Immaterial Drawback’ is concentrated around the region of space containing the Kadingir System. \nInformation secured on Ofliem indicates that the Onyx Empire\, a technologically advanced and xenophobic alien species\, has established a base of operations upon Kadingir. Their recent experimentation with foul technologies shows that they are now equipped with unholy weapons that can steal the very souls of those whom they kill. \nMore than wealth and danger lurk upon Kadingir for the intrepid Worthies of the Imperium of Humanity\, for the very fate of Arkangel and the entirety of the Stygian Abyss could be altered upon the World of Perfumed Flowers… \n  \nThis Event is a 2/3rds Exploration to 1/3rd Combat game\, with themes of tomb-delving\, strangers in a strange land\, high peril\, and daring adventure. It will have a focus on translation of a xenos language and research into a xenos culture\, and on challenges and puzzles that build upon these two core elements. Despite containing central story elements strongly related to the Warp\, this Event’s Linears and Challenges will not be primarily focused upon the Warp\, Psykers\, Navigators\, etc. It is inspired by the Tomb Raider games\, the Indiana Jones movies\, and my abiding love of puzzles and riddles. \nThank you to Meg and Andy for the template of this announcement.

DESCRIPTION:The pleasure world of Grimaldi is easily the rival of any counterpart in the Imperium: a playground of casinos\, opera houses\, amusement parks\, and stadiums where the entire planetary populace lives to cater to the whims and fancies of the ultra-rich. Watched over by the Gilded Moon – a vast orbital fortress\, whose powerful supercomputer monitors all planetary activity – it is one of the most secure locations in all the Stygian Abyss. No hand of cards is dealt without the odds already calculated. No murder is committed without prior sanctioning. \nAnd no one has managed to steal so much as a silver spoon without getting caught. \nThe Rogue Traders of Arkangel have been invited to rob Grimaldi’s deepest vaults bare. \nTheir contact goes only by the code-name Le Mond D’Igo\, but he claims to have a foolproof scheme to pull off the greatest\, most daring (and lucrative) heist in human history. As a show of good faith\, and a demonstration of his influence on Grimaldi\, he has ‘comped’ their Dynasties an entire suite at the planet’s most prestigious casino\, from where they can rob the world of everything it’s worth. \nFor Grimaldi is ruled over by a single\, and singular\, man: Starrick Oberhaus. It is said that he finances every major power in the Abyss\, from the CHI to the Ravagers\, to ensure Grimaldi’s security. It is said that he jealously guards a hidden labyrinth of caches beneath the world’s surface\, each one brimming with treasure\, valuable information and rare technologies. \nIt is said that\, in his personal vault at the very core of the planet\, he holds the secret to immortality. Given that Oberhaus has ruled Grimaldi for several thousand years\, many believe this to be more than the idle gossip of the rich. \nIf the Rogue Traders of Arkangel were able to steal the fortune contained beneath Grimaldi\, it would significantly alter the balance of power in the Abyss. Not only would it strike a blow to the resources of their enemies and competitors\, but it would allow Arkangel to expand and sustain its operations to an unprecedented scale. Beyond that\, the personal opportunity to cheat death indefinitely is surely too great to resist. \nAnd\, as the saying goes\, opportunity makes the thief. \n* \nNo Wealth But Life is an epic adventure into the high stakes and low morals of the rich and privileged’s most exclusive playground. Players will have the opportunity to collaborative plan out an elaborate heist\, setting their own terms and challenges from a range of possible opportunities\, while simultaneously competing with one another to secure the support of various shady allies. The more friends you’ve made by the time the heist is through\, the more cash you’ll make off with\, but first you’ll have to outplay one of the wealthiest\, most paranoid potentates in the Abyss. DESCRIPTION:Event 11: All Good Things End \nWorthies of Arkangel\, we must call upon you once more.\n\nWe have managed to secure an entrance to the Jet Cathedral where the leaders of the Fuga Animi have secured themselves. Their leader Gambel Goldfield intends to perform a ritual\, the likes of which you had brought to our attention when we held the Council meeting. It is our belief that this ritual will rewrite the minds of all who exist within CHI space and undo the work that you have undertaken to free us from their profane ideations.\n\nGambel resides at the heart of the Jet Cathedral\, locked in by his 8 champions. We need your help to defeat these champions and their forces so that we can get to Goldfield and stop the ritual; and him\, and put an end to this Fuga Animi threat once and for all.\n\nWill you heed our call for help?”\n\nThis game marks the final chapter in the CHI/FA adventure from Season 2.\n\nThe adventurers will be supporting the CHI with a final push upon the Jet Cathedral\, a huge psychoactive throne currently held by the Fuga Animi who are using it to maintain a barrier around CHI space. The themes explored in this game will focus on “war movies”\, “Cool guys don’t look at explosions”\, and “Reap or Redeem.” There will be warp elements for those so inclined\, and a fair amount of combat\, reconnaissance\, sabotage\, late night shenanigans\, and no small amount of what-the-f*ckery.\nLooking forwards to seeing you all there!

DESCRIPTION:Event Pitch\nWhat’s the point of Robbery when nothing is worth taking?\nA salute to the God Emperor and our Ships in Void!\nWith the liberation of the CHI from the hands of the Arch Enemy and the destruction of the false Astronomicon the warp storms have cleared. Imperial prognosticators and deep space scans have discovered that this sector is larger than the area explored by the Archangel fleet so far. Much larger.\nThe juggernaut of the Imperial expansion has brought significant progress in the space surrounding the Maw\, what was once CHI space is now Archangel space held under the Pax Imperialis. The line has not moved yet but the backers of The Archangel fleet expect significant investment and therefore protection of these new Imperial holdings. We keep what we take after all. \nArchangel has called a Convocation of the Captains table. This grand event will include the great and good of Archangel space and visiting dignitaries from Xeno and non Imperial human civilisations alike.\nA re-signing of the Captains charter by Captains and backers will be the culmination of these celebrations.\nOnce the ink has dried and the last toast is made we sail into the black once more…\nDeep space scans have found traces of an ancient Holy Terran Arc ship a short distance into unexplored space. The codes used in these signals predate the Horus Heresy meaning this ship represents a most imperative and blessed mission to recover ancient relics from the days when the Emperor walked the myriad worlds of the Imperium….which means riches. Lots of Riches. \n“What’s the point of Robbery?” Is the first game by No Rest for the Wicked new core plot team to take place as Douglas Wood Scout site between 12th and 14th of May 2023. This will act as a soft reboot\, advancing the setting and launching new arch plot intended as being the main questline of the game and various smaller plots for players to follow at their own discretion.\nFriday night will be primarily a social game\, a fancy party with intrigue\, politics\, light combat and puzzle elements\nSaturday and Sunday will be a swashbuckling adventure to find ancient Terran artefacts on an unexplored world. This will have exploration\, archeology\, combat\, diplomatic and puzzle/problem solving elements. \nBooking Information\nTickets can be booked via Billetto\, here. Payment will be handled via bank transfer\, with the details emailed to you once you have reserved a ticket. Player tickets cost £85 and include event and accommodation but do NOT include catering. DESCRIPTION:The Billetto event page is now live for Crew and Early Access bookings:\nhttps://billetto.co.uk/e/event-14-the-aeldari-candidate-tickets-838030 \nGeneral Access tickets will go live at 8pm Monday 5th June.\nCrew tickets are £10\, player tickets are £90.  \nForging out into the black\, the Rogue Traders of Arkangel have had great success in their first great endeavour. Exploring the ruins of an ancient Terran Arc Ship on a forgotten world\, they recovered a pair of Holy Relics; a bone from a long lost Imperial Hero and a Machine Spirit like no other. After taking these Relics to safety they were then blessed by miracles of the God-Emperor; wounds were healed instantly and corruption was driven from souls\, surely a sign of divine providence! Now\, they must drive on and unravel an ancient mystery once hidden under the protection of His Angels of Death. \nThey must find “The Crucible.” \nUnfortunately\, the only map details of the sector they were able to recover have been degraded and corrupted by time and battle damage and will require expert attention. So\, to Port Svartalf they go. Where\, in an effort to convince an eccentric human known only as ‘The Cartographer’ to give aid\, the champions of Arkangel will be forced to see if they can steal an election… \nThe Aeldari Candidate is the second game of the core No Rest Plot Team\, furthering the adventures in unexplored (for the Imperium anyway) space. The game will be a combination of exploration\, communication\, investigation\, and probably assassination. The Rogue Traders must identify the other challengers for the empty seat on the “Iron Council” that rules Svartalf and find ways to prevent them from taking the seat from Ynabrae Starseeker\, their long time Aeldari ally. \nThe game will have a more open structure with players able to plan and implement various methods of preventing a challenger from being viable for the election at noon on Sunday.
